Tough Love Time


…because we ALL need it every now and then. (you have been forewarned)

We ALL want to “be healthier” than we are, right? Well, WHY are we all not trying? This country is plagued by obesity and countless other health issues mainly caused by lifestyle and the choices we make daily… Enough is enough! It’s time to DO SOMETHING!

Yes, I am a Beachbody Coach, and I have many tools to help people live healthier. However, that is not my intent behind this post.

This post is for all of you who “don’t have the time, energy, motivation, finances, etc, etc, etc..” to make positive lifestyle changes. News flash, those excuses aren’t going anywhere. And that’s ALL they are… EXCUSES! Do you REALLY want to eat better and/or become more active? Or do you WANT to complain about not being able to do so? It’s YOUR call. The time you spend thinking up excuses on why you can’t, can be MUCH better spent doing little things daily to prove yourself wrong. Which is a GOOD thing in this case, considering the alternative.

For those of you who that can’t afford to eat healthy, I challenge you to reevaluate your food expenses. Chances are, you’re spending MORE in the long run on “cheaper” food when you factor in the repercussions (medically speaking) of poor nutrition. Stop looking for value in PRICE and start looking for VALUE in NUTRITION.

For those of you that don’t have the time…guess what? Neither does anyone else. The ONLY difference between you and those who “have” time to workout/prep healthy meals, etc… is that they MAKE the time. Start NOW, you’ll have even less time tomorrow, next week, or next month, promise.

For those of you who can’t afford “fitness,” be it a gym membership, money to buy a fitness program, personal trainers, equipment, etc. Guess what? You DON’T need any of that, really… they all help, sure, BUT… There are things called stairs, yes they STILL exist, use them. Park farther away from your destination than usual. Go outside…swim, ride a bike, walk, run, crawl, frolic, whatever. Do pushups, jumping jacks, lunges, burpees, mountain-climbers, wall squats, etc.… ALL FREE by the way.

The point of my rant is this… WE ALL could be healthier, period. Whether it’s making substantial lifestyle changes or minor ones… MAKE the CHANGES, not excuses.

Because honestly, where did doing nothing ever get us? DO SOMETHING.
